There are a choice of different sites to visit ancient mayan ruins, the most popular been Chichen Itza which is home to the impressive El Castillo pyramid. Chichen is between 2 - 2 1/2 hours drive in land depending on where you are staying. There are also the Tulum ruins and Coba which are smaller sites but may be better suited if not wantng to travel for so long.

Beach clubs are everywhere along the riviera maya. These are usually on some of the best stretches of beach and have comfy loungers, good food and cocktails and usually a DJ or some form live music.

All beaches have public access, you do not need to use beach club facilities to enjoy the beaches.

Sea turtles! Akumal is famous for snorkelling and seeing the sea turtles in their natural habitat. We would recommend booking a snorkelling tour to be taken to best spots to guarantee seeing turtles.

Cenotes are natural deep water wells full with fresh water and swimming in them is one of the top things to do in the Riviera Maya. There are many to choose from and when staying in the riviera you will never be far from one to take a dip in.

Most beaches have water sport's available such as jet ski's, paragliding, paddleboarding etc. The area is also known for its amazing scuba diving locations (cozumel) and snorkelling.

Tulum also has its own catalogue of bars, restaurants and clubs. You can also go to full moon parties on the beach here and the food scene is excellent.
